It wouldn't be a PUMA party without a solid soundtrack. And so the PUMA YARD kicks off its 2+ weeks of good times with an electro-club night.
Groove Armada of "I See You Baby" fame headlines the night. Formed in the mid-1990's and fronted by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, Groove Armada have to date released eight studio albums, and this year brought back their previously retired full live show to Lovebox; the festival they started in 2002. Now the boys are returning to their roots. Through live shows and a series of dance floor EPs released on underground label Hypercolour, Groove Armada mark a return to DIY spirit of the warehouses where the band started.
Supporting acts include Kissy Sell Out and Redlight.
Il sempre ricercatissimo Kissy Sell Out è un produttore di DJ con un fiuto per nuovi talenti nascosti tanto quanto per i musicisti autorevoli. He's worked with diverse artists - Gwen Stefani, Sugarbabes, and Calvin Harris to name a few - and boasts an album, a label, and a globe-trotting string of DJ shows - think Noorderslaag, Exit, Pukkelpop, and Ibiza Rocks.
With tracks in the back catalogue including "Stupid," "What you talking about!?" and "Feel So Good," Redlight is the rising star of UK Dance music. Starting in the underground drum 'n bass scene, the move into new musical territory was born out of the need to be challenged and the desire to create new styles. His current single "Lost In Your Love" is a perfect example of that mix, taking inspiration from the musical backdrop of Redlight's misspent early teens and the eclectic sample sources of jungle and the energy from the illegal warehouse raves he grew up going to in Bristol.
